This is a 285 piece Ecru wooden jigsaw puzzle of Jethro Buck’s “Forest”. Our Ecru puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. The puzzle design by Matt Lyon has an irregular edge and many themed whimsies. The puzzle difficulty is average: the Mim Time to complete this puzzle is 5 hours and 15 minutes (66 seconds per piece). Like all our puzzles, made of 1\/4″ thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in a large silver box with a magnetic clasp.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Forest<\/strong><\/p>\n

The forest took just under 6 months to paint. It is an imagined ancient British woodland inhabited by birds and animals that lived or once lived in the British isles. It is the product of applying techniques, principles and ways of seeing learnt in India and at the Prince’s school to the natural world I see around me.<\/p>\n

The ochre colours were collected from a cave in Wales (Clearwell caves). Malachite, Lapis and cinnebar stones were ground for other colours.<\/p>\n

The piece was inspired by the medieval sentiments of St Thomas Aquinas when he said “art is the imitation of nature in her manner of operation”<\/p>\n

This painting received the runner up prize in the Art in action fair 2014.<\/p>\n
