I designed and illustrated animals for the traditional East Asian 24 solar terms.<\/span><\/p>\n For each term, I merged the featured vegetable or fruit, or the special environmental changes of that weather into the animal.<\/span><\/p>\n Not all the terms has a related animal, and usually several terms share the same vegetables. I tried to select and arrange them for better design and visual diversity.<\/span><\/p>\n XiaZhi (Summer Solstice) | Summer’s extreme, longest day time; watermelon.<\/p>\n \u9cf4\u87ec\uff58\u9e7f\u89d2\uff58\u897f\u74dc\uff58\u7cbd\u5b50<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u6b64\u6642\u56e0\u592a\u967d\u76f4\u5c04\u5317\u56de\u6b78\u7dda\uff0c\u5317\u534a\u7403\u767d\u665d\u6700\u9577\u967d\u6c23\u6700\u76db\uff0c\u958b\u59cb\u9032\u5165\u7099\u71b1\u7684\u5b63\u7bc0\uff0c\u8fb2\u4f5c\u7269\u53ca\u6c34\u7a3b\u5728\u6b64\u6642\u90fd\u5df2\u5b8c\u719f\u6536\u5272\u3002\u8a2d\u8a08\u5716\u9762\u4ee5\u300c\u87ec\u300d\u70ba\u4ee3\u8868\uff0c\u5c07\u8c61\u5fb5\u967d\u5149\u7684\u9e7f\u89d2\u5143\u7d20\u878d\u5165\u87ec\u7684\u80cc\u90e8\uff0c\u4e5f\u628a\u897f\u74dc\u85cf\u9032\u4e86\u87ec\u8eab\uff0c\u8b93\u4eba\u4e0d\u81ea\u89ba\u6709\u87ec\u9cf4\u7e5a\u7e5e\u590f\u5929\u4f86\u81e8\u7684\u611f\u89ba\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n The sun shines directly at the Northern Tropic now and the day is the longest and yang is the strongest in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s the start of a hot season. Crops and Asian rice are ripe and reaped. Ancient China divided Summer Solstice into 3 pentads, \u201cAntlers come off in the first pentad, cicadas start singing in the second pentad, crow-dippers grow in the third pentad.” <\/span><\/p>\n The design uses cicada as representation and integrates antler elements, which symbolize sunshine, into the back of the cicada. A watermelon is also being tucked away in the body of cicada to render a feeling of singing cicadas and the arrival of summer.<\/span><\/p>\n \u7b49\u7d1a\uff1a\u8d85\u7d1a\u7c21\u55ae\u3002<\/p>\n \u6c92\u6709\u5c0d\u7a31\u7684\u89f8\u89d2\uff0c\u8b93 \u5716\u4e2d\u5716\u662f\u7aef\u5348\u7bc0\u7684\u5100\u5f0f\u6027\u98f2\u98df\u2013\u7cbd\u5b50<\/p>\n \u7cbd\u5b50\u4e0b\u65b9\u65e2\u50cf\u7cbd\u8449\uff0c\u4ea6\u50cf\u4e00\u8258\u6241\u821f~<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tupin.i9ene.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/24term-min.png?resize=500%2C500&ssl=1\")
